The most common question/concern we receive is about damaging your cards.
Simply put, we have never had a sleeved card damaged in our shuffler. Not in our thousands of tests, and not by our hundreds of customers.
As the designer of these shufflers, and as a former competitive Type 1 Magic player (I think it’s called Legacy nowadays), I completely understand the concern of damaging cards. Having played with thousands of dollars of cards in my decks in the past, my #1 design philosophy was card safety above everything else. All of our shuffler models use the same drive system, designed specifically to grab the cards gently, from one side to not create pressure on the cards, and to mix them in a way that they are disengaged from the “pushing” part of the drive where the sleeves come together. Yes, this means that occasionally cards will catch on the edges, just like when you shuffle by hand. I would rather design a shuffler that you occasionally have to back up and restart because a card caught another card, then to continue and risk damage to the card.
To showcase this, we setup a shuffler specifically to catch while shuffling to show how the mechanism cannot damage your cards. Check it out on YouTube
